Want a simple way to grow veggies, herbs, or flowers in small spaces? Try sack gardening! Here’s how:

What You Need:

  • Sacks (5kg, 25kg, etc.)
  • Sharp knife/scissors/nails (for drainage holes)
  • Garden soil, compost, cocopeat/sawdust, biochar
  • Seeds or seedlings
  • Shovel
  • Gravels

How to Start:

  1. Prepare Sacks – Remove any foreign materials, fold the top to about 1 foot from the ground.
  2. Make Drainage Holes – Create 4-5 holes on each side for proper drainage.
  3. Mix Soil – Combine garden soil, compost, cocopeat, and biochar.
  4. Add Drainage Layer – Place some gravels at the bottom of sacks.
  5. Fill Sacks – Use a shovel to fill with soil mix, leaving space at the top.
  6. Arrange & Plant – Set up your sacks and sow seeds or seedlings.
  7. Water Regularly – Keep soil moist, not soaked.
  8. Place in Sunlight – Adjust based on plant needs.
